2020 WPPA Gold Team All-Star Travel Tryouts

WPPA travel is for players who play baseball at an advanced skill level and would like to intensify their development through additional training and a schedule 3-4 tournaments against other travel teams outside of WPPA. Skill development begins in January and continues through April when games begin.

The WPPA Gold Teams are non-league, tournament only teams that only play over weekends when the WPPA House League is does not have games.  Gold teams may play in tournaments in April before the regular house season begins, Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th Weekend and post-season (late July, early August).

WPPA will host four (4) gold teams in 2020: 9U/10U/11U/12U.   If your player is interested in playing on one of the gold teams, please sign up for the applicable tryout below:

  • Tryout attire and equipment:  Baseball pants/belt, cleats, jersey or performance shirt, baseball hat, athletic cup, glove (multiple if desired – e.g., catcher, 1B) and bat.  Catchers may bring their own catcher gear.

  • Do I have to currently be registered at Welles:  No, but all players on both teams will be registered with Welles for 2020 and will have to play in the WPPA House League.

  • What if we can’t make the scheduled tryout dates?  We ask that you do your best to make the tryout dates offered but also understand that conflicts do arise.  Please let us know in advance if you cannot make one of these dates and we will work with you to find an alternate date.
