Instructional and Competitive Youth Baseball


WPPA has six divisions for baseball and four divisions for girls softball.   Each division covers two age years based on the player's age on August 31, 2019.

9-10 Sep 1, 2009 and Aug 31, 2011      Minor Baseball or 10U Girls Softball
7-8 Sep 1, 2011 and Aug 31, 2013      Junior Baseball or 8U Girls Softball
5-6  Sep 1, 2013 and Aug 31, 2015       Rookie Baseball


Players must register in the registration program associated with their age-based league/division.  Take special care to select the correct age-based program.  

If you have entered a player in the wrong program, the system will not allow you to register the player.   In order to correct this, you must contact the WPPA Registration Administrator by email at .

League/Division Exceptions


If you have a compelling reason that your child should play in a different age category than prescribed above, following these steps in order:

  1. Register your player in their age-appropriate division based on your player's actual age
  2. Email your request to move your player to a different division.  Include the following information in your email:
    ‚Äč  - Player name
      - Actual registered division (e.g., Minor Baseball)
      - Requested division (e.g., Major Baseball)
      - Rationale for your request

  3. Come to the In-Person Registration Session (Wed Jan 15 or Tues Jan 21, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Welles Park Fieldhouse Lower Level) to discuss your request with WPPA Executive Board Member.  You must attend one of those sessions for your request to be approved.
